Vacancy Description: We are seeking a skilled Roughcaster to join our Client. The ideal candidate will have experience in applying roughcast finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail. This role requires the ability to work with various tools and materials. The Roughcaster will play a crucial role in enhancing the aesthetic appeal and durability of buildings. Duties Apply roughcast finishes to walls and surfaces using appropriate techniques and tools. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, repairing, and ensuring they are suitable for roughcasting. Mix and apply materials such as cement, sand, and aggregates to achieve desired textures and finishes. Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively, including mixers, trowels, and sprayers. Collaborate with other construction professionals, including bricklayers and carpenters, to ensure project specifications are met. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times. Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure it meets industry standards. Requirements Proven experience in roughcasting or related fields such as masonry or bricklaying. Proficient in the use of power tools and hand tools relevant to construction tasks. Ability to work at heights, including roofs, safely and confidently. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labour tasks effectively.
