Vacancy Description: Job Title: QA/QC Officer Location: Irvine, North Ayrshire Contract: Permanent Hours: Full-time Salary: £27,000 - £27,500 (DOE) Role Overview We are seeking a detail-driven QA/QC Officer to join our Clients busy production and packaging facility. The Ideally the candidate would need to hold a science related degree to enable them to progress on to the proposed QP training. This is not a laboratory based role, it is heavily admin/documentation related, experience or an interest in Corrective and Preventative Actions, change controls, assisting with Production QC audits and working with technical related documents. You will play a key part in maintaining compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and ensuring our products meet the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities Apply and uphold GMP principles under the guidance of the Quality/Regulatory Management team. Support the Quality Management System (QMS), handling complaints, deviations, and change controls. Carry out Quality Control audits within Production. Complete Product Quality Reviews. Oversee Quality Control of goods-in processes. Assist the Technical Department with quality-related tasks and reporting. Undertake training to adapt to changes in duties or regulations. Provide cover for QA/QC colleagues when required. Collaborate effectively with other departments to maintain smooth workflow and cross-functional communication. Potential consideration for Qualified Person (QP) training based on experience and performance. Skills, Experience & Qualifications Science-based qualification (essential). Previous QA/QC or regulated industry experience preferred. Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail and accuracy, particularly with quality and compliance paperwork. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Proactive, organised, and capable of managing time effectively under pressure. Competent with IT systems including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
