Vacancy Description: Title: Production Manager Department: Manufacturing Responsible to: General Manager The ideal candidate will be working to tight deadlines, managing and co-ordinating daily manufacturing, managing output performance including production schedules, supplier delivery schedules They will also be responsible for lead times and stock control. The main responsibilities of the role are the organisation, planning and prioritising of the manufacturing schedules. The planning and establishing of monthly work schedules within the production sequences to meet production goals, The scheduling of daily manufacturing processes, programs, and activities, as well as the daily performance of your direct reports. The candidate should be able to maintain specific targets and objectives to prioritise daily activities effectively while monitoring all of the above responsibilities Materials will have to be monitored and reviewed. There will be conscious vetting of material suppliers and environmental considerations which result in the production of periodic departmental reports. Communicating between all managers, supervisors and all other staff who provide manufacturing information is of the utmost importance. Daily interaction with other impacted departments and department managers. The ideal candidate should provide guidance and direction which will include setting and monitoring performance standards. This will then enable the Identification of the development needs and training requirements of your direct reports. All data within the company should be handled with care which means compiling information that can be monitored, All data should be stored in line with existing management systems i.e. ISO: 9001 and BS EN: 14001. In regards to any staff management and human resource issues the ideal candidate should work in conjunction with the General Manager to facilitate the disciplinary process; resolve employee problems, complaints, or grievances through to resolution. Environmental and Health and Safety compliance are all within the remit of the Production Manager to assist in the daily delivery and management of all Quality, Environmental and H&S activities.
